About Us

The Endoscopy Center of Brookline is a comprehensive outpatient surgical facility providing a full range of endoscopic gastrointestinal procedures. Our facility offers he highest level of quality, technology, comfort, privacy and convenience – before, during and after examinations.


QUALITY

Our physicians are certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Gastroenterology. Our specialized nursing staff is highly strained and A.C.L.S. certified. Our Center is AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care Inc.) certified.

Our procedure rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to ensure the safest and most technologically advanced setting possible. We meet or exceed all federal and state licensing requirements.

Our staff is dedicated to the highest standards of patient care. Our facility offers a spacious and inviting reception area for patients and their families as well as recovery rooms that are designed for maximum comfort and privacy.


CONVENIENCE

All services are performed no an outpatient basis and our streamlined admissions and discharge process allows patients to return home after just a few hours. We are conveniently located across from Boston University’s Student Village. We offer validated parking and are also easily accessible by the MBTA “B” Green Line.

We are committed to providing availability for urgent endoscopy cases as well as efficient turn-around and follow-up care.



Facility


We are a Medicare certified and AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care) certified. Our facility has four suites where procedures are performed that open up into a central recovery room. All of our physicians are Advanced Cardiac Life Support trained and Board Certified Gastroenterologists. A registered nurse who has received special training in Advanced Cardiac Life Support monitors each patient. A comfortable waiting room has been made available for those family members and others who accompany the patient. Private conference rooms are available so the physicians can discuss the procedure and findings with the patient and family.


The Procedure Rooms

Each procedure suite is equipped with state of the art video monitoring equipment to provide a better examination and better documentation for the patient record. All procedure suites are equipped with wall suction and oxygen units and equipment capable of monitoring cardiac rhythm, pulse rate and the oxygen saturation of each patient. Each patient will leave our facility with detailed discharge instructions and a copy of their procedure report complete with photographs.


The Recovery Room

The recovery room is equipped with eleven stretchers that are all in direct view of the nurses' station. The recovery beds are also equipped with the same monitors that are utilized in the procedure rooms. A defibrillator and crash cart are located in the recovery room for emergency situations. Registered nurses monitor all patients until they are discharged.


Reprocessing Room

A sterilization room is devoted to cleaning and disinfecting all medical instruments. This room is equipped with an ultrasonic cleaner, an autoclave sterilizer and electronic scope washer that disinfect the instruments. The Center has strict policies and procedures regarding infection control. The staff receives continuous training to meet and exceed all government safety precautions.

Our facility has been structured to accommodate individuals with physical limitations. There are no physical barriers to prevent entering the building or having access to the interior facility. If you need any special assistance, please let us know at least two days prior to your appointment.
